The Cricket Gold channel will feature library footage, with the potential to later add live matches in selected territories, on-demand matches, and a wide range of interviews, ancillary content, and other interactive features.
Cricket is the leading sport in Australia, and the Australian men’s and women’s national teams both recently won the Ashes, the most prestigious global competition for cricket. The number of Australians playing cricket increased year over year by 5%, according to the latest Australian Cricket Census. Cricket Gold reflects the officially largest sports audience across the world that follow cricket, particularly in Australia/New Zealand, India, and the United Kingdom.
